The certification process is comprehensive and includes training in general sports related subjects including training and conditioning principles, health and nutrution, sports safety, body functioning, anatomy, sports organization management, as well as sport specific training. Certification renewal requires continuing education hours offerred or certified by the German Sports Federation.

Coaching Experience

Youth Field Hockey League, regional level Rheinhessen, Germany; coach for TSG Heidesheim, my local club which also includes current and former players at the German 1^st Division level. Coaching mentor and certifier is Heiner Dopp, of the Bad Dürkheim Club, who was the captain of Germany’s 2 time Silver Medal Olympic Team.
Owner/Manager/Coach of AmericanKidsSports, running Baseball Camps in the Summers to introduce the game to local German and German-American youth and build skills. Cooperation with local sports and recreation organizations, including Mainz Athletics Baseball Club, IBM-Club of Mainz, TSG Heidesheim, TSV Wackernheim. Employees included international players of Germany, England, Australia. Coaching mentor and certifier is Georg Apfelbaum.
